10MAY Premiére of Antarctic Concerto

On May 10th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Nokia Concert Hall will be filled with heavenly sounds and dedicated musicians.
The cherry on the cake will be the world premiere of Antarctic concerto for solo guitar and chamber orchestra by Peeter Vähi. The soloist performing the work, inspired by the Arctica-Antarctica expedition that the composer undertook in 2010, will be one of the absolute top guitarists in today’s world, Rémi Boucher whose roots are on the snowy plains of Northern Canada. Music reviewers unanimously use superlatives while talking about him:

"Rémi Boucher has fire, passion, zest and poetry and he has them in spades. There is hope for the guitar when it is played like this..." - (Collin Cooper International Guitar Magazine, England).
"Rémi Boucher has no technical and musical limits, and he obviously could play even concertos  written for three hands..." - (critics from Austrian newspaper)

In addition to the premiere of the guitar concerto, Tallinn Sinfonietta – the fresh face of Estonian orchestral music, product of our country’s vibrant, adventurous and enquiring spirit, an orchestra which radiates passion, commitment and inspiration – will perform masterpieces by Mozart and Fiestas.
The conductor is probably the best known innovator-maestro from Estonia - Andres Mustonen.
Enjoy the Music!
